About this coffee

We were absolutely delighted with this washed carbonic macerated Geisha during our original trip to Panama and our visit to Finca Deborah. We particularly love sweet and flavorful Geishas that are not 'over-processed' and truly reflect the fantastic terroir in which the coffee plants can grow and develop peacefully. A very transparent Geisha awaits you, filled with lychee notes and a fantastic honey sweetness, followed by a stunning and long-lasting aftertaste reminiscent of strawberry ice cream.

The Farmers

Savage Coffee is a collaboration of boutique coffee producers from Boquete Valley and Volcan, Panama led by Jamison Savage, who work together to develop some of Panama's finest coffees. Their expertise comes from generations of coffee producers who maintain best practice techniques and a great attention to detail from growing to processing. Through years of experimentation and development, they have produced coffees that have competed in most national and world championships (World Brewers Cup, World Barista Championship), often placing in the top 10. Growing area and region The Panamanian coffee industry is concentrated in the Boquete and Volcán areas. These growing areas, also called the Valley of Flowers and Eternal Spring, are located on the sides of the Baru volcano and the surrounding foothills. Truly distinctive and unique coffees are produced in these idyllic places. These highlands are blessed with a terroir consisting of highly volcanic, enriched soil, abundant moisture, diverse microclimates, regular rainfall, dense vegetation that ideally nourishes the coffee plants. It is the reason that the finest shade-grown coffees are produced here, with complex flavour characteristics that delight all over the world.
Jamison Savage - owner and producer of Savage & Deborah coffees has been supplying us directly with his exclusive coffees for almost 3 years now. These are sent to us exclusively vacuumed by air freight to keep the transport chain as short as possible and the aroma as fresh as possible.
